Re: 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTS —Long-Term Wrap-Up [12.22.6]
Well, now that I drive a plum homely, dark pink, hermaphrodite genetic freak as my best friend described it, of all the vehicles I have driven in the last 30 or so years of driving none has made me giggle like a schoolgirl more than this one. He of course is now reconsidering his recent purchase of the new Tundra in manly black. I could not be happier with the truck or the invaluable advice that I have received from all the members. Please note that my friend has some verbage control issues. Do not judge him harshly. He does know where the fish hide day or night.

Re: 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTS —Long-Term Wrap-Up [12.22.6]
Has anyone seen the 40k longterm wrap up in Car and Driver for JULY??? Some low punches but all around a very good review. I like that they stress its a utility truck not just a truck. here is the link if anyone wants to read it

I love the statement talking about the towing capacities of the RL.....
"But another (tester), with a 4600-pound load, found it merely adequate, noting that “you can forget about passing on two-lane highways.” Well, as far as I am concerned, nobody should be passing on a 2-lane highway towing that much. I don't care what you are driving. Sounds like the guy who ended up in the ditch ahead of me over Memorial weekend, towing a 5000 lb. boat and driving 80+ MPH. There's just some things you shouldn't do!!!!

My absurdity proves the lack of intellect that went into that comment about passing with a 4600 pound load = lack of objectivity! Our boat should sink at less lbs... should I complain about water lapping over the side and the bilge pump starting to run as a design flaw? Sorry my "bed" doesn't twist when I go over a pot hole. [end rant]
