Brich - I wouldn't buy an '08, but I would definitely be hoping they were backwards compatible with my '06.

I think Joe Wiesenfelder did a good job in his review of the Honda Ridgeline. He wrote an informative piece for someone who reads Cars.com for information on comparing vehicles. Sounded very positive to me

Re: cars.com 2008 Ridgeline review:

I liked the review. Yeah, he should have put in a section on new changes to the 08 model in particular. However, I have no problems with him doing a new review. Yes, us owners know the stuff, but just the other day, I had someone come inspect my truck.

It's still a relatively rare truck and not everyone reads car reviews. The guy I showed my truck to said, "I heard Honda made a truck now. What's special about it?" I was happy to show him. The trunk, even tho it's advertised, is still a new and impressive feature to many people. We still need good, fair reviews like this one even to this day.

Something doesn't jive here... The '08 non-RTXs at my local dealer have no trailer hitch. Also, weights and approach/departure angle specs on the website and brochure do not support non-RTXs having a hitch.

I guess my point is that the "Japanese manufacturers" actually seem to care about keeping some jobs in the ole U.S. of A. Maybe that's another point that "Detroit" might emulate.
Tundra = made in San Antonio, Texas

I thought it was a decent read.. Although im disapointed with the pics of the wheels. Those are the gray painted 07 wheels.. I was wanting to see the polished wheels

I equate it as the website designer not having a clue on what has/has not changed... It also says the RT now has painted alloys, which I have not seen at my local dealer...

Thumbs up Re: cars.com 2008 Ridgeline review:

I thought the review was very good. The detailed information you can get by clicking on those litttle pictures on the right is very useful. I'm talking about the "Building Materials", "Bed Width" and "Box Details". The reason I say this is I know some people who have dismissed the Ridgeline when they hear it doesn't have a full sized bed. I have found it totally useful in buying full sheet 4 by 8 feet material. I owned a Dodge Dakota for twenty years and I loved that it was a "mid-sized" truck that could hold 4 by 8 feet material but the wheel wells were high and you had to put a support in the middle which turned out to be a real hassle.

I just went on a 1,000 mile vacation with another adult and a ten year old child and I was amazed how comfortable the trip was. I kept all my cameras and camcorders and other stuff in the trunk and getting to them was a pleasure even though we were driving in a "truck". The ten year old had a great time in the back.

Re: cars.com 2008 Ridgeline review:

Here is a reveiw that just came to my attention. It is on blogs.com kicking tires.
http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...-fleet-no.html

What I thought was funny is that the reviewer says they don't like the hummer "The H3 Alpha is beastly in a way that only a truck with a foot of wheel gap can be. " He didn't like the Saturn Vue "I was disappointed by the Vue Red Line, for two reasons: ..." But he LIKED the Ridgeline except for the fact that it grabbed his Starbucks heat protective sleave. I'm sorry but I can't weep over that one ...

After a few years on the market, I still like the Ridgeline. It’s an easy truck to navigate, it’s comfortable, has high-quality interior materials and tons of cargo areas inside. I don’t need the truck bed or towing myself, so I don’t know if I’d ever buy one, but there is one everyday feature that irked me to no end in my long commute with the Ridgeline this morning.

Re: cars.com 2008 Ridgeline review:

A good review, without all the technical stuff. A regular Joe could read and appreciate. It will help those who (heaven forbid) will sell their Ridgelines in the future. Good write-ups go a long way. Great close --

"The question for Detroit is, where's your innovation?"

Yeah, no kidding! Hubris???
