Honda Ridgeline Challenges Big Three [11.17.7]
Quote:
Look out, Detroit: The Japanese automakers are continuing their pursuit of your pickup-truck business with models like the 2008 Honda Ridgeline.
Introduced in the 2006 model year as Honda’s first foray into the truck business, the Ridgeline continues in its 2008 edition (base price: $28,000) to offer U.S. pickups a run for their money.
Motor Mouth isn’t sure Ford F-150 buyers or other fans of U.S. trucks will flock to the Ridgeline any time soon. But the model definitely threatens to chip away at Detroit’s truck business - the only product segment where the Big Three U.S. automakers unambiguously beat the Japanese.
