Auto123.com: 2008 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Road Test [2.20.8]

Quote:
With the Ridgeline, Honda executives are primarily targeting car drivers who would like to have a second vehicle for recreational activities, work duties and family hauling. These consumers are very demanding; they're fond of comfort and gadgets, sophisticated stereos and navigation systems. Such features are found on the higher-end Ridgeline EX-L model, which I had the opportunity to test-drive (there's also a base LX model). In short, the Ridgeline is a cross between a premium sedan and a midsize pickup truck.

The least this website could have done is get the trim levels right...RTL is top of line...not EX-L.

My EX-L-SR is tops here, well except for the navi. I guess all the litres, centimetres, KPH and the tag line at the top of the page, "The Canadian Automotive Network", threw you off. So much for reading the article. The world is bigger than your front yard.

Pretty good evaluation. Interesting commentary on the variety of Asian automakers trying to make a niche for themselves in the pickup market. With the models currently there and more on the way, "Kia", it seems the speculated demise of the Ridgeline may be premature.

Why do all the reviewers always compare the Ridge to the Avalanche? Other than the slight resemblance due to the pillars, there is no comparision. What gives? Why not compare it to the Sportrac?
