Interesting post I noticed at the bottom of the "Autoblog" article:

If you're really bothered by the boring screens, that can probably be fixed.
http://www.hackaday.com/entry/1234000443040445/I'm surprised auto manufacturers don't provide simple customization tools like these themselves.

I just started to look at the "hackaday.com" site, would be nice if we could "hack back the trip computer" although I imagine that is not possible.......................................

This is a great idea and I hope someone can get it to work. I would love to have the LCARS screen on my car at start-up.

However the instructions given dont seem to work on the Ridgeline's system.

It says to 1) At main screen of Navigation screen hold down Map/Guide, Menu and Cancel button for 5 seconds - got it to work no problem
2) Hit the version button on the touch screen - got it, no problem
3) hold down the menu button for 5 sseconds - got it. It takes me to the developer version screen with lots of info.
4) write down the filename next to the words loading filename" (ex. bnhn404n.bin). This I see no where no file, nothing that looks like a .bin name nothing!

Anyone have a hint as to where this info really is?
