What is the big challenge? Record is meaningless if you have to stage it. Never thought much about the July one either, but at least it was spontaneous and real.

Everyone does realize that there have never actually been 200+ ROC members online at any one time. The majority of the numbers are taken up with search engine spyders cataloging the website. This happens on all websites, it is just easy to spot on forums because the numbers are posted at the bottom. We don't keep track of the members and guests seperately for the single entry of most users online at one time. In this case it is 238.

The number you want to watch is Currently Active Users: 117 (32 members and 85 guests) Getting the member number as high as possible is what you should be striving for.

Not trying to discourage anyone, just letting you know not to get your hopes up if you can't get enough people online to surpass that "number".

No, I didn't realize that... not sure why I would know to distinguish between the two. Do you mean to say that on the forum page where it says:
"Most users ever online was 238, 07-07-2005 at 12:02 PM.",
that it is NOT referring to "Currently Active Users" which is on the line directly above it?
Where do you find the current number that would correlate to the 238?

BTW, someone noticed the other morning that 'Currently Active Users' was at 220 or so.
