Cell phone/ home base question

Just a question? I'm paying $35.00 a month for the house phone. No one ever calls us here and we always use the cell phones... anyway just curious if anyone uses the item at the link below, or has other experiences. What I am hoping to do is get rid of the house phone & beable to use the cell thru the house lines.. this way if were outside or wherever, we can hear the phone & pick up any house phone instead of srambling to find the cell...Thanks!

Re: Cell phone/ home base question

I know quite a few people that have ditched the house phones. All of them use the cell phone anyway, like your saying. My old co-workers have been using adapters like this one to change the cell phone into a more office type phone plus they have an office line. They seem to like it. I don't recall the details on the unit but is was the same concept as the one in the link you provided. It was probably set up like the second diagram on the link.

Although this just allows you to answer your cell phone through your house phone. I am not quite sure it will work with out a dial tone on the unit or not. It may need that voltage from your phone line to work properly. I did not study the link just gave it a quick once over. I know all of our office phones are actually mobile telephone numbers. It is Voice over IP.

If I get any info on a product like this to fit your needs I will pass it along.
