Seeing Black & Blue (times 3) out west in Idaho and Utah

[Truckin']

We got back from a trip to central Idaho a week ago. On our 1,400 mile road trip we only saw TWO Ridgelines. The first was a Black in Blackfoot. I'd spotted it in a parking lot last year on our way to Canada and it was there again. I was unable to tag it because there was no safe way for us to get over to it.

Toward the end of our trip we passed a BLUE headed west between Stanley and Lowman. We waved as we drove by.

We were disappointed to not see anymore on the road.

Back in Ogden I spotted a BLUE pulling into the bank next to my office. I was able to get over and speak to the owners. I gave them a ROC business card with my phone number on it. They don't have the net, but said they'd be interested in attending a meet.

Just a couple of days later while washing our truck a man approached us to ask where we got our bull bar. His wife owns a Black. Of course we gave him a card and encouraged him to join the ROC. I hope he shows up and shouts "Hey."

We saw the other set within minutes and at the same location. We spotted the BLUE with PA plates first as we were driving through Park City on the way to a Keb' Mo' & Bonnie Raitt concert at Deer Valley. We pulled up along side and I gave them a hearty wave. They waved back with quizzical looks. We passed them and they continued behind us. I thought they might also be going to the concert but we couldn't spot their truck after we parked. However, I immediately spotted a Black parked curbside. I grabbed a card from my wallet and left an invitation to the ROC on the window. I was hoping there'd be a message from that owner too.

It's curious that BLUE and Black are the colors du jour in all three cases. I'm seeing silvers regularly. Our dealer's lot is full of them.
