I am a firm believer on the 'last day of the month'. I've never been a car salesman but believe they have their quotas to meet, as it may have previously been discussed in some threads.

The dealership I take my truck into for servicing pretty much had only 07's for RL's but didnt' really look.

Hey, does anyone know if there is an easy way to say . . . go to a web site, type in exactly what I want truck I want with colors, trim line, etc, and what pops out is a list of dealers who have them? Because all of the online quote sites always ask for my zip code and in turn only send my info to the nearest dealer.

A website that knows the inventory would be sweet and easy. How did you guys go about finding your truck?

The only way I know is to go to the Honda.com site. Once you put in your Zip Code, it will list all the nearby dealers' websites. You can then check them one by one for inventory. Not very efficient, but well worth the time if you are looking for a specific model/color/etc. If nothing is close, get another Zip from the USPS.com website for a city a little further away and do the same thing, slowly but surely expanding your search.

So I've been searching around for a 06 Ridge and even on the honda site when you are locating a dealer there isn't even an option for an 06 ridge! Whats the deal--are they all gone? I know some dealers must have a few parked on the lot--how do I find these dealers? Call each one?

Do the search for the '07 and send a note with it saying that you are eagerly looking for a '06. They will get back to you as they want to move the '06 more than the '07.

I would wait and get a 2007 RTX, they have the colored door handles and more for an extra 500 bucks. I got a better deal on a new 07 then an 06 with dealer cash. I would give up on the 06 idea, you can get a good deal on 07's. Good luck

Wilde Honda in Waukesha, WI has five or six 2006s available. They're all RTLs, though (one Amazon green).

I don't know how close to Wisconsin you are, but it might be worth your while to get a quote form them over the internet, fly in to Waukesha, and drive it home!

Oh sweet! Don't need the moonroof but I'll ask for a quote just to see what happens. OH also I'm from Southern California-but hey I'm always looking for an excuse for a road trip! Thanks for the investigative work!
