Get internet quotes now or wait towards the end of the month?

That is my question. We would like to get an 06's at the best price possible so would it be wise to wait any longer? Hopefully there are still some 06's around. We also don't mind driving or flying somewhere in order to get exactly what we want at the price we'd like. So today is the 17th should I start getting quotes now or wait about a week?

So what we want is an RT but the only thing we don't like about it is the different color handles+rearview mirrors. We don't need the leather or the dual climate controls etc (although nice) aren't worth the extra $ to us. But the color of the door handles matter big time! I never thought it would be it does. So we are going for an RTS, or RTL, first color option is white, then green, then steel blue. Thanks for the input. Roc on.

Get the quotes rolling. Sounds like you will be best in the RTS.

If you truely want the best deal, even with your quote in hand, show up on the last day of the month they are open, late-afternoon. Do the "I don't know" thing and see what happens. Plus if you are at a sticking point on price, tell them you want this and that add-ons for that price. TIP: write a list of add-ons and prices of them, also get the dealer cost so you can speak educated.

Pick the color you want before you go and stick to it. You can order what you want and still get your sweet deal on the last day of the month.

Its definately going to be hard to find an 06 right about now the way honda was pushing dealers to clear them out. I was looking for one when I bought my 07 but all that was around a 5hr drive of TN was 2 white RT's. I would start trying asking around right away if you heart is set on a 06 since the dealers might possibly have to search awhile to find one for you.

There are very few 2006s left. There's still the $2000 incentive on them and there won't be any more than that.

I received an email from a friend that seemed to indicate that the $2000 incentive is now on the 2007s as well. He wasn't entirely clear on that issue and I guess I should ask.

There would be very little reason to buy a 2006 over a 2007 if the prices are so close.

I was told by my local dealer that there is $1250 Lease Cash available for the month of October. Could this be what he was referring to? Any info is greatly appreciated, as I am going to buy an RL in the next 2 weeks.

It will be hard to find an '06. I looked and after not finding any in the area bought an '07. Try looking on Ebay. Dealers list new vehicles they are trying to move. Good luck.

If the door handles are all that's making you go to a higher trim, search the forums for chrome door handle covers. If you like them, you'll increase your options for any 06's that are left.

I agree with basically everyone, all good advice. 06s will be hard to find but I do believe there are some out there. Here in Socal, the dealer I bought mine from still had at least one silver 06 in stock (not sure what trim). Try calling some of your local dealers and just inquire about their 06 inventory. You don’t have to give them your name and number, just tell them you’re inquiring. If some dealers have what you want, go online and request some quotes. If for some reason the numbers aren’t good, you can decide then if you want to wait a week or so and shop for 07s. My guess is that if a dealer still has a 06 RL this late in October, you’ll probably get a great deal regardless of end of month. So I doubt you’ll really benefit by waiting. You might miss out on the last 06 in your trim.
