I just got a internet sales quote from anderson honda in palo alto, ca. They are giving me the price of 24,388 plus taxes, on a RL RTX with no options. Is this a fair price, i am actually buing a civic hybrid for the wife at the same time, so i was thinking i could get somthing like 24 grand out the door on a rtx.. do you guys think that is possible.? thanks for the help

Re: Perpetual Price Thread
Hello, I am brand new to this forum. This was one of the threads I first checked out! I hope my information helps others shopping around, too.
I bought my Dark Cherry Pearl 2007 Ridgeline RTL on June 30, 2007 after two weeks of researching on price and comparison shopping dealers within 150 miles of my home (Troup County, GA). Here are the price details: CASH purchase Base Price: 26588 Muds: 85 Dealer fee: 389 Sub-total before tax and fees: 27062 TOTAL (with 7% sales tax and warranty, title and tag fees): 28999 My local dealer would not budge on price, so I shopped via email and sent our price requests to at least 15 other dealers. I was satisfied with about 5 of the replies. My criteria: full disclosure of price breakdown, and the VIN and options of vehicle of my chosen vehicle were reiterated in the email. Two of these had lower prices than my local dealer! The winning dealer was about 95 miles from home. Over the phone, I was also able to lower the emailed quote by about $150 more. They quoted extended warranty (extends to 7 yrs/100mi bumper-to-bumper) for $1495, price good for 30 days. We are mulling this over. I will research in our ROC forums about the price. My immediate concern is looking for tow pkg and will research about this too. |

Re: Perpetual Price Thread
So i have now been quoted 24,786 for a ridgeline rtx Out The Door, i still have no clue about financing.. What you guys think about that prce? If i choose to take it i think i am going to offer them 24,000 out the door. They also gave me a price of 23,150 out the door if i wanted to buy my wife a civic hybrid,in this case i would offer them 22,500. I am going to wait and see what happens, i am not in any rush.

I purchased a 2007 Ridgeline RTS for $25,100 including destination and the tow package. Had 2 quotes of $24,900 ($24,008 truck + $892 tow package) from two dealers in my region, but went with the local dealer for the extra $200. I figured the total dealer cost (invoice + destination - holdback -incentive) to be $24,587, so I'm pretty
about the deal. This forum was a tremendous help in giving me the information I needed to negotiate. |

Re: Perpetual Price Thread
Wow...lots of great info here. Almost too much...you start swim in all of these numbers.
Here's my current situation: Looking to buy an RTL, no nav--this week! Best offer on the table is 27,476 before dest, tax, title, fees. I think that's in the ballpark... Need some clarification on incentives, though. If I go for the 4.9% Honda financing, am I missing out on additional cash back? Current bank rates for excellent credit are in the low 6% range, but if the extra carrying cost could be offset by a lower entry price... |
