Re: Perpetual Price Thread
Prices sure vary. I bought my RT for $24,000 two years ago and I just saw a local dealership listing a used 2006 RT with 26,000 miles on it for $28,995!!

Re: Perpetual Price Thread
Ladies and Gentleman, and children of all ages…there is a Ridgeline in my garage!
I’m sorry if this is a little long but it was a lengthy journey to get to today. It began where it began with many of you, with a Super Bowl ad introducing the Ridgeline. At the time, I was driving an Odyssey, but I remember turning to the wife and saying that if I ever got another truck, I would be sure to check that one out. Flash forward to August 2006. My son was a few weeks from starting kindergarten. Up till then, I had been mostly responsible for driving the kids as their daycare had been near work, but with both kids in grade school, my wife would be taking over that job. And she HATED driving the Ody, but since she had an Altima, if there was even one extra kid to drive she would have to borrow the minivan. Then she saw some amazing deals on a Chrysler Pacifica. She picked one up for almost $10K under MSRP, handed over the Altima lease to me promising that I could get whatever I wanted when the lease ran out. So now I was driving a vehicle that I hated. I wanted a truck. Now if anyone has seen my other posts, you know that back in November, I was very negative about getting the Ridgeline. I test drove a Tacoma, a Frontier, and a Sport-Trac, and considering the deals people were getting, it looked like I would be stuck with a Frontier. My only hope was if there would be any good end of the year deals. And then everything went my way. Both Nissan and Toyota were pushing their big boys (Titan and Tundra), but had no deals on their mid size trucks. Had the lease ran out a month earlier, I could have gotten a decent deal on a leftover 07 Frontier, but even that went away in December. And of course, Honda decided to make a lease deal on the RT (Money Factor - .00051, Residual 58%). With that deal both the Taco and the Frontier would actually be more expensive then the Ridgeline. Now my only problem was I had promised the wife that if we could save more then $30 a month by leasing another sedan, I would have to go that way. But she could not find any great lease deals on Camry’s or another Altima. We did the email flood to many of the local dealers, specifically targeting the ones that had a large RT inventory. Then we got it down to the one that was most agreeable to make a deal. We ended up with a payment of $295 per month including tax, with only the first payment due at signing, plus a $42 fee. And despite what Honda Carland said, there were no surprises when we showed up to sign the papers. We did the deal at Hennessy Honda in Woodstock, GA. BTW…Cherry Pearl. Yea! I’m no longer a lurker, I’m a freakin Ridgeline driver! |
