I purchased it at Stevens Creek Honda. I used carsdirect to get an initial quote....and then dealed from there. My dealer was ok. It was the finance guy that irritated me a bit. Trying to give me guilt trips for saying no to his overpriced Hondacare Warranty and LoJack security. Oh well...I guess that's what's expected from any car dealership.

Saw one while gettin my oil changed the other day. 08 White RTL with bull bar and lift package installed 33.8. The dealer is charging $2k for the lift and bull bar package. Think it included lights on the bar and something else i cant recall.

I had the same experience, except I bought both of them. Lojack is ok, and I wanted HondaCare... just paid too much for it.

I live in the mountains... 4 miles of dirt, a mile of it in first gear. It tends to be tough on vehicles over a long period of time. The Toyotas handle it well... I'm reasonably confident in Honda based on the Honda products I've owned, and still own, but its a heavy truck with a very different design. Could be very expensive to fix at some point. (anyway that was my reasoning).

If I lived in the suburbs or the city, I wouldn't have bought an extended warranty. Also, since it is a Honda owned company, they are more likely to pay off. But I did pay too much for it, as I'll likely never need it.

Lojack makes sense to me on a vehicle worth as much as my first house.

Anyway... good luck with yours. The Honda engineers outdid themselves.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Here is a deal that I have working right now. Need your opinions. Should I do it....

2008 RL RTX Nimbus Gray Metallic
$22,949 (after dealer incentives $3500)
$1,295 - Leather installed
$1745 - taxes

$25,989 out the door

Got the dealer down to $25,700...

What should I do...

I think the LoJack and HondaCare warranty are great purchases...but just not at the prices that the finance guy was giving me. I still plan on purchasing the HondaCare warranty in a month or so online from another Honda dealership.

Ridgelines rock!!!

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Purchase the 7/100 for 1000 or 8/120 for 1300 from sacucci honda (myhondawarranty.com) before april. I believe honda is ending the practice of being the only nameplate to let dealers compete online selling the warranty april 1. After that you may not be able to approach these prices after vehicle purchase. In any event it doesn't pay to wait if you plan on doing it.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Hi, I'm a new, used, Ridgeline owner. Just bought an 06 RTL billet silver with 63500 one owner miles. Very good condition w/tow and XM. I paid dealer $16,700 and am happy. Previous owner appeared to be maintenance minded. Used mobile one and changed oil about every 5000. Non smoker and extra clean.
Seemed like a good deal to me.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Probably been posted somewhere before on this great Forum...

There are some '07s floating around. What is the exact difference between the 2007 and 2008 RTL Ridgeline? I see virtually no discernible difference....

Dealers are coy and/or clueless....

Thanks!

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Sounds like a good deal to me, with or without the sunroof, as long as fairly clean carfax.
