I like the dealer overall so I keep giving them another chance.

Today I emailed 10 Honda dealers within 45 miles of my house (that wasn't even all of them).
I told them what I wanted (STOCK RTL+Navi) well under invoice.
My favorite bonehead internet salesgirl shoots back with this offer...

Vehicle: 2008 Honda Ridgeline RTL w/ Navi and Leather, including the following installed: Tow Package, Bed Extender, Roof Rack, Splash Guards, Running Boards, and Floor Carpets. 2.9 % for 60 months.

*YOUR INTERNET PRICE IS*:$ 27,230.00

I will probably be a Ridgeline owner in the next 48 hours.
Make sure she's not trying to give you the $4500 cash back plus the Honda 2.9% financing, because Honda doesn't allow it. I'd hate to see you waste your time.

I paid $25K+TTL back in December. You have a great deal here.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

I wanted to see if anyone is leasing Ridgelines? A local lot had an '07 RTS with mud guards, carpets, hood deflector, and chrome nerf bars for $0 down $395 per month. Is that a good deal?

I had the purchase price down to $23,850 but balked at that thinking I could do better for an '07 RTS that was basically a demo with little miles.

I looked and looked at this truck for more than 8 months. I wanted it bad, but knew my wife would kill me if I did so causing us to have two car payments and without me first selling my M5.

So I balked. I really still want to get one. I like the RTS but am considering moving up to the RTL. The local dealers have several, but one dealership I refuse to deal with. They are a bear to negotiate. The other dealership is great but only has I think 4 on the lot, at most.

What price should I be looking to get an '08 RTL w/nav for? '08 RTL w/o nav?
'08 RTS? I like the RTS because don't like leather much since I have little kids and am always sweaty in the car from athletics.

The only extras I want for sure are Nerf Bars, mud guards, and towing package.

Please send me a private message with what I should expect to pay. I think I'll be taking the plunge ASAP. Hopefully in the next month or so.

Thanks,

Jay

Hey there wilks...

I've been looking into getting a Ridgeline recently and I too have been investigating leasing one.

Here are the best quotes I have gotten on an RTS and RTL lease out her in Southern California:

RTS - $299/month (+ tax) & $700 down for 36 months 15K miles/year

RTS - $315/month (+ tax) & $315 down for 36 months 15K miles/year

RTL - $340/month (+ tax) & $700 down for 36 months 15K miles/year

RTL - $355/month (+ tax) & $355 down for 36 months 15K miles/year

Based on those figures, it sounds your quote is a tad high, however you are putting zero down and there are accessories.

Best of luck!

Just bought my RT a week ago. Love it.

$21,900 OTD. I learned some negotiation tips on this awesome board.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Okay people. I've been saying for a couple weeks that I wanted to pick up a used Ridgeline from a dealership for the past couple weeks.

However, I understand honda is offering $3,000 cash back and 2.9% apr for 60 months. If this is the case, I would be better off biting the bullet and buying new.

I want to get an RTL (no Nav). Does anyone know what the cost to the dealer is for an '08 RTL without Nav? This would help with negotiations. I know that dealerships have fallen on hard times lately and with '09s coming in (if a dealer can even afford to order them) dealers are eager to make a deal.

I can put $10,000 down and would like to keep the monthly payment below $300/mo. I think this is do-able if I can start negotiating from the cost of the Ridgeline for the dealer.

Thumbs up Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Hello everyone,

This is a great forum (much like hondapilot.org, I also have a 2006 Pilot). After about a week of negotiating I picked up my 08 Black RTX this morning. Thanks to this forum and particularly this thread I was able to get it for $21,109 with a 4.39% for five years through AHF. That price includes the destination charge but not the TTL, and as a bonus when my RL was delivered it already had the rear mud flaps and wheel locks on it. I have not yet decided on the extended warranty but I will definitely use myhondawarranty as a negotiating tool. I also plan on ordering OEM side steps this weekend and installing them hopefully next weekend. Thanks again...

i dont think anyone knows the dealer cost. but i do know what people have been paying (search the top 20 threads in this topic), which for an RTL without Nav, seems to be about $25.5k. I think that is the best deal I have seen. if you can walk away with $25.5k before t/t/l, you are doing good.

as far as putting $10k down and wanting to keep your payments at or below $300, that depends on your term. i can tell you that a 4 year term with $13k down and a lease for $17k yields about $380 a month at 4.5% interest. if you can get a loan for $16k for 5 years, you may be very close to that $300/month mark. there are plenty of free websites out there that can calculate this for you.

I purchased the extended warranty but honestly if I had to do it over again, I probably would not purchase it. Honda has such a good repatable so according to Consumer Reports a month or so ago, it's not a wise investment. If you are purchasing a less reputable vehicle perhaps it would be but not for a Ridgeline. Now don't get all pissy if you don't buy it and something goes wrong. I'm just quoting Consumer Reports.
