Re: Perpetual Price Thread

If you're willing to travel...

Buddy of mine used his frequent flier miles to fly out and purchase his RTS for $22K from these guys... Boch Honda

$1800 less than I paid for my '07 RTS , of course $4500 vs. $3500 incentive. I think he should split the difference with me since my RL was what convinced him to get one.

Oh well, at least I recruited another ROC member.

ROC on!

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Last month I bought a 06 RTS Nighthawk w/ Honda Chrome Wheels, Honda Running board, and Honda DVD. A new Ridge like this one lists for $35,400.
I started looking at new ones and realized it was going to be a squeeze for my budget. I really wanted the chrome wheels. The Ridge was/is extra clean, grandmother owned, with 41,000 miles. She ordered the DVD player to entertain her grandkids. Why this lady bought a truck, I’ll never know – but I am glad she did. The bed looks like new. I traded in a 2001 Ford Escape with 150,000 miles -- a great car but was ready for some expensive repairs . The dealer had included Honda Care 100,000 mile -$0 deductible warranty in the price when we started negotiating -- so I kept it. I got the Ridge for $17,000 difference (including 100,000 warranty) and with some good financing from Honda Finance. So I know the next 59,000 miles will have no signifficantly expensive repairs. I am very happy with the Ridge and the fact I can still afford to buy gasoline for it.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

I bought this 2006 RTL on Ebay for $16,700. Has 63,000 1 owner miles and runs just right. I've put about 3000 trouble free miles on it and can't believe how much I like it. I had a 2000 z71 and it was a fine truck but this just suits me so much better. Got 23 mpg in a flat stretch of I-75 in n Fl and s Ga.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Rainy day and I'm wasting some time. I called Bock Honda. I love my 06 RL but if I could get into an 08 for around $25k, I'd upgrade. Bock has 08 RTS for $22k and wanted $26k for RTL + $300 doc fee. I told them I was calling from Louisville Ky area and asked if they had airport pickup from Providence RI. He said yes but that I would have to make two trips.

Trip 1 to physically sign the papers and Trip 2, about 10 days later, to pick up the vehicle. Mass does not offer temporary plates so the transaction must go through bureau of motor vehicles. I became disinterested at that point and thanked him for his time.

Well that's interesting about the temp tag issue. I talked a Boch Honda guy on Monday night and he made no mention of that. That would likely be a deal breaker for me too. I was thinking about taking a trip next Fri and making a deal. The tricky part for me is that I have a trade which leaves me a bit exposed I think but I could walk away and still have a nice weekend in Boston if we didn't come to terms.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Damn, these things are going for freaking steals. I paid $28K+ for my 2007. Course I bought it not too long after the 07s came out so I didn't get the incentive. Still, people like me and the 2006 buyers must be steamed to see the prices drop this badly. Means resale has tanked. Luckily, I don't intend on getting rid of this thing for years and years so I'm really only out the incentive amount, but still... that's a pretty big incentive amount.

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Ridgeline proud owners.

Here is the quote I just received.

Ridgeline 2008 RTL Black

$25000 after dealer fee plus tax and tags

As per rep it also includes lifetime power train and some other dealer installed stuff. What you guys think of the price.

My only concern about this deal is that it has 150 miles. When I asked the dealer he told me that they got this truck from the other dealer and have to drive. Is this norm?
