Re: Perpetual Price Thread

21568 for a new 2008 RTX in Nashua NH. Negotiated 27858 for an RTL w/o Nav. Saw some good prices in MA (Boch and Commonwealth). Stuck with NH dealer out of loyalty.
The Boch guys did offer 21998 for an RTS and said it had to be paid in full that day.
For those interested, NH does have temporary plates. If I was persistent, they probably would have matched Commonwealth and Boch.
The current deal is $4500 cash back OR $3000 cash back and 2.9% for 60 months. I took the $4500 and still got 4.34% from Honda Financing (after I told them I have 4.7% from my bank.... maybe I should have said I already have 4%?)

Does anyone have a decent tonneau cover for theirs yet?

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

Went to local dealer #2 and was quoted $25,800 delivered for an RTL (1st dealer was $26,100) before options below. But... dealer #2 offered $24K for my trade (2007 Acura w/29K miles) vs $22K from the 1st.

Seems like an OK deal; Edmunds show's a trade value of @$25.9K but I also think they are a little inflated... A new 2008 model is $33.7K

Thoughts?

Maybe I can do better on options? Installed costs shown.

a. Trailer Hitch ($483)
b. Fog Lights w/switch ($604)
c. Cargo Net – Bed ($107) - installation?!
d. Rear Splash Guards ($120) - Are these necessary?
e. In Bed Trunk Carpet ($87) - installation?!
f. Floor Carpets ($157) - installation?!

That's a total of $1,558.00 in options. What's a reasonable counter to these folks?

I really thought about going with Factory NAV but they quoted $1,008 for the rearview camera installed. I can get an amazing Pioneer system w/all this + bluetooth for $1,700 to $2,300 depending on which model. Compare that the RTL w/Nav they quoted for another $1,798 + camera = $2,806 + separate bluetooth kit estimated at $300 for a grand total of $3,100. Quite a premium and I think the Pioneer is better.

I do think that Boch Honda would save me $1,500 or so but it's not worth it to me to make two trips to Boston to try and find out.

Comments/Suggestions would be appreciated!

Wow, nice ride. I am sure you are going to miss it. I ridge is a nice truck, but Acura has some very nice touches. I would love a TL myself ( the current generation)

Thanks. It is a great vehicle, one of my all time favs (after my 1970 Boss 302 Mustang that I sold like a dummy many years ago).

But.... be nice to be able to tow a boat, haul stuff, easily throw bikes in the back, etc.

Utility over handling & speed this time!

Re: Perpetual Price Thread

I just got quoted $24,737 on an RTL with no NAV. Sounded like a great deal to me... unless anyone has heard of anything cheaper?

I did it!

I want to thank all of you for your input and knowledge when it comes to RL...

I'm the proud new owner of a New Nimbus Gray 2008 RTL (no nav). After shopping around I think I got a great price: $25,400
