Exclamation 2009 Ridgeline Info - NEW!

Hey everyone! I just saw this posted on Vtec.net:

UPDATE: We've received some new info from an anonymous source indicating that the MMC is in fact taking place during model year 2009, and it will be appearing in showrooms sometime in July. Honda has reportedly informed its dealers that the Ridgeline has gone through a "large scale, minor-model change (MMC)". A "bolder look" is promised, along with "integrated towing features" and several new accessories. Styling improvements are said to have been executed to both the front and the rear of the vehicle. New features coming to the RTL model include 18" wheels and a rear-view camera. Also coming are two additional bed tie downs, daytime running lights (DRL), and a hitch integrated into the rear bumper. Interior enhancements are also coming, and a new soft tonneau cover will be offered.

Here is the link to the info:

Hopefully the larger rims are accompanied with taller tires. I always thought the current tire size looks too small for the wheel opening.

I always thought the wheel wells and the tires look too small. I'd bet that the new RL will have the same sized wheel well and the overall tire diameter will be the same exact size. The rims will be bigger but the tire profile will decrease.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to get the RL in a dark blue for 2009 as well.

Re: 2009 Ridgeline Info - NEW!

Thank you HKINGS for the update. I might go test drive the new 2009 Ridgeline, when it comes out. I test drove the 2008 when it first came out. That feeling was just SO RIGHT. The moment I drove off the lot, I knew I wanted a Ridgeline. I really have enjoyed coming to this site, you guys provide a lot of information.

That would be a great color for the RL. I had a 1993 Grand Cherokee Laredo in midnight blue. Oh what to do... take the incentives and get black or wait... and get dark blue and whatever new goodies. Of course I think the vehicle will be $5K plus more than a 2008....

I don't know about blue, but some people drink a mocha on a gray day.

Cool Re: 2009 Ridgeline Info - NEW!

That is a good ideal about the 18" wheels as the stock wheels seem somewhat small in proportion to the wheel opening and the rest of the vehicle.

Can I run larger tires on existing 17" rims without breaking VSA , VTM, air pressure minder, or some other computerized assistant that measures the number of tire rotations? I would really like to jump up a couple of sizes and fill up a little more of the wheel opening. Can we run 265/65 17s ?

So are we talking Mocha Metallic and possibly Sterling Gray Metallic?

Re: 2009 Ridgeline Info - NEW!

I'm interested in the "bolder" styling statement. If they really have implemented some of the 09 Pilot design into the 09 Ridgeline I'll definitely be going with an 08. I think the 09 Pilot is hideous looking... It's got that whole huge bug eyes (headlights) thing going on. The 08 Ridgeline looks like a beauty queen compared to the new 09 Pilot.

I don't want dark blue, I just want a regular colorful blue .
