2008 RTL Demo - Decent Price?
Hi
My first car was a 1991 Honda Accord, and ever since then have loved Hondas. I bought a 325xi BMW about 2 years ago and its been super great to me, the only thing that kills me is the $140 an hour for labor and the fact that the dealership is across town (Kansas City). The honda dealership on the other hand is much closer to me, about 5 minutes from my house, and the hourly rate is much lower. Anyways while doing my usual Sunday errands I stoped by the Honda dealership to see what was going on. Anyways I saw this 2008 Ridgeline, that was a demo marked down from around $35750, down to 28K. From what I can see, it is fully loaded with leather, nav. I'm not sure what the mileage is because they don't have an updated pic on their website to verify that this is the one I saw, but I believe it has 1700 miles. Obviously from a math prospective its a good deal, but would most people consider that a decent deal? Also, do most people get things thrown in there (free oil changes, etc..) when they get it from the dealership? Then my last question is that I found a few 07 Ridgelines on ebay (bought my bmw off there) and they seem to plummet in price (21K for the same one I saw at the dealership with only 11K miles). Thank you in advance Eddie |

Re: 2008 RTL Demo - Decent Price?
You should be able to buy a new, non-demo, 2008 RTL w/NAV for $28k (or less).
Not a very good deal for a demo. |

You should be able to get a 2008 RTL w/o Nav for somewhere between 25,500 and 27,000 before tax, title, license doc fees.
I paid 26,988 on April 4th for my RTL, had 19 miles on the odometer. Look at this thread for prices in other parts of the country: Perpetual Price Thread

Re: 2008 RTL Demo - Decent Price?
I paid 35k for my 2008 RTL with Nav demo with 4000 miles. I wish I had stumbled on this website sooner prior to the purchase, but what made it more enticing were the 12k worth of accessories they've thrown in, or so they say it's worth.
Accessories: 22 Inch rims with Tires OEM front bumper Chrome details on front and back bumper Custom Chrome Grill Step bars on the side Dual DVD headrest Retrax Tonneau cover Mud Guards front and back That's all I can remember off the top of my head... |

Accessories do add up fast, especially if you are paying for installation fees. There are many threads on the ROC about the add ons. Just enjoy your ride. |

Re: 2008 RTL Demo - Decent Price?
latest update on the situation....
I finally got to test drive the Ridgeline and I'm in love Here are the two opitions (both are demos of the GSM, the green one has been sitting for about 3 months the white one has been there since 7/1): 2008 Green RTL as mentioned previously, fully loaded with nav = $28 and change 2008 White RTL fully loaded w/o nav, has 2xxx miles. Interesting bit to add that Missouri is a full disclosure state, and apparently one of the porters managed to rub against the pool and rub the rear quarter panel. They are suppose to disclose it, and they mention $1000 in parts but I was told all they did was to buff it out. I spent 10 minutes with the salesman and couldn't find it = $27 and change I had them just run numbers for me to get an idea, using the 2.9% financing its going to be around $500 for the truck w/o nav. On both trucks they seem to want to add an extra $1000 if i used Honda financing, this sound familiar to you all? Since we have an extra car (Kia baby!!, that was sarcasam) I plan on selling my BMW and then sitting on it till the end of the month. I feel if I give that truck w/o nav a few days to sit they might be willing to talk to me a bit more about price because they just put it up on 7/1. This is my price I want to get to, $23.5K with free oil changes for life. Am I being to ambitious? |

Re: 2008 RTL Demo - Decent Price?
to add to the intrigue, I was offered by another dealership over the phone 28K for the same car, in the color I want, and NO miles.
Whats a fair depreciation of a vehicle that has been used by the GSM 2300 miles? |
