Been eyeing one of these - I'm no 'bass head', just want something to add a touch of 'oomph' <50Hz (my BA door speakers do fairly well down to that point). Would the 8" Bazooka fit under the rear seat overhang when it's folded up? I don't want to give up (much of) the under seat storage, so I'm hoping someone here has an 8" (or even 6") Bazooka and can snap a pic of how it sits under the seat with the seat in the upright position.
Not sure if a 10" would fit, don't see why not, but I have an 8" in my 2000 CRV and it kicks a$$. I also have a 6.5" one in my del Sol, and it's surprisingly good! I guarantee a 8" or 10" would sound great in the RL! I say skip the 6" one!
I highly recommend them, and I would measure how much the rear seats stick out while folded up, and of course if it will fit under the seat in the down position!
If I didn't have the OEM sub, in the back, I would have gotten a Bazooka sub in a flash. They really do pump out great bass, and of course there are 100 & 200 watt amps to choose from. Of course they sell them without amps too (Passive Sub).
Another nice thing is you can use RCA out from your deck, if it has it, or you can run them from your speaker wires too!
And they remove really, really easy if you need the room. One plug for the electrical, and 2 straps that hold it down.:act035:
Had 100 watt, 6.5" Bazooka sub in my '08 Ridge under passenger side rear seat, used Bazooka head unit wire harness adapter that I had to slightly modify the plug. Big improvement. My 2010 has factory sub.
I installed the powered 6.5 behind the rear seat drivers side. Fits good, sounds very good and you don't loose any storage. I'm very happy with this setup. Everything is out of the way.
hey tconnors - just wondering why did you choose the drivers side not the passenger side one where the oem sub would have been. would one have fit on that side as well??
Not really take a look at the pics, it only fits on the drivers side. There is also a brace on the back of the seat that gets in the way, I just don't remember how. I also ran the wires down the passenger side kick panels because the driver side is being used by the factory wiring.
I just installed a BTA8100, using FAST 9999 & BTAH harness, posting the link here since the search engine on this board is "quirky" at times: Clicky for Install Pics
