Need to replace a couple of tpms sensors. What exactly do i have to do?

Sorry for the wrong info I guess I shouldn't have assumed (you know what that means lol) it was the same as most Japanese and Korean cars. I guess that is one more awesome thing about a Ridgeline!

Memorizing the Tire Pressure Sensor ID

Memorizing a Tire Pressure Sensor ID
When a tire pressure sensor is replaced, the sensor ID must be memorized by the TPMS control unit.

NOTE: To ensure the control unit memorized the correct ID, the vehicle with the new sensor must be at least 3 m (10 ft.) from any other TPMS pressure sensor not installed on that vehicle.

Memorizing a Sensor ID Automatically
After rotating the tires or replacing a tire pressure sensor, drive the vehicle for at least 40 seconds at a speed of 15 mph (24 km/h) or more, and all the sensor IDs will be memorized automatically.

NOTE:


When replacing the TPMS control unit, use the HDS to memorize IDs.
After IDs are memorized, reduce the pressure in all four tires to less than 25 psi (172.4 kPa) , and check to see that the four tire indicators come on.
Memorize the ID with the HDS
The HDS can memorize the ID of a new tire pressure sensor or a previously memorized ID.

With the ignition switch OFF, connect the HDS to the 16P data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the left side of the dashboard.
Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and memorize the ID of the tire pressure sensor by following the screen prompts on the HDS. NOTE:
See the HDS help menu for specific instructions.
When replacing the TPMS control unit, use the HDS to memorize IDs.
After the IDs are memorized, reduce the pressure in all four tires to less than the appropriate specification, and check to see that the four tire indicators come on.

No problem Bosco, I too am guilty of giving bad info on this site (not on purpose of course) and getting my head chewed off.
I was speaking from experience as I do have a second set of winter tires and don't need to do anything when swapping them.
As others have said, the early R/L's don't need the programming, '09's and up do.

Update:
Well took off one of the affected wheels today cleaned the green slime out. The "TPMS" light still comes on after about 5 minutes of driving.
Earlier today i purposefully lowered the pressure in the affected wheel to about 15psi to see if the low pressure light would come on and it didnt So i figure this is my bad sensor.

Just curious if on some of the Rl's that have to be programmed how do you rotate tires if they are programmed to a certain location?

I've been wondering about this also? Do you have to go to the dealer for all tire rotations? (That would be a good money grab for the dealers. Like they need that.)

I have rotated my tires several times...I didn't have to drive for the new positions to be memorized.

It has been said that the TPMS on the 2009's have to be programmed. They do use a different sensor, but a member with a 2009 got different wheels and new sensors and said they work like the 2006-2008 Ridgeline TPMS, and were instantly recognized.
