A 2007 with 27,000 you should be covered under warranty.
Why do they want to charge you $100?

The seat covers will help with the water stains and the rapidly wearing material. I would think it might even increase the speed that the foam brakes down that’s the heart of the whole problem of the rapidly wearing material.

Re: About the SEAT PROBLEM - AGAIN.

I always take very good car of my cars interior and my seats are killing me they are showing wear and I have 34,000 miles on my truck. I always made a point not to slide out of my seat too but it is kinda hard I am 6' 175.

Re: About the SEAT PROBLEM - AGAIN.

I know exactly how you feel. I always cleaned the inside of my vehicles every week. I have not cleaned the inside of my RL yet because every time I open the door and see the creases in the driver side seat (6000km) it takes my enthusiasm a way of keeping my truck looking nice inside. Sad thing is it's been over 20 years since I've owned a brand new vehicle.

Re: About the SEAT PROBLEM - AGAIN.

I never noticed my seat condition....until recently. It is definately breaking down. My 2007 RTL has 65000 miles on it. I will find a local upolstering company to handle it for me. I put 500 miles a week on my truck in all kinds of weather. I live in NE PA.

Maybe consider some seat covers - I grew very frustrated cleaning the stains off my front seats every week. Like you say, it took the fun out of keeping it looking nice when it became an uphill battle and a chore.
I got the coverking ones - just do a search - I find they are easy to clean (sorry I keep pushing these covers like I own a share in the company - I swear I dont, I just really like them).

Re: About the SEAT PROBLEM - AGAIN.

My 08 RTL just had the drivers seat leather replaced. Had to go above the service managers head (not fun). It's been 2 weeks and the new leather still looks like an old man and the seat has now developed a creek. The dealer told me that it would take a few days for the wrinkles to come out. As I stated earlier it's been 2 weeks and nothing. I am at my witts end with the issue and the Dealer, anyone live near Jacksonville Florida and know of a good trim shop I might be able to talk too. Thanks for any and all thoughts!!

Re: About the SEAT PROBLEM - AGAIN.

I also have an 08 RTL and my drivers side has been showing signs of fatigue on the lower seat left side since 8,000 miles. At first I thought it was just bad materials. Guess it is actually bad foam and leather.

How do I convince the Honda dealership to repair this problem with the correct (GOOD) Materials?

Is there something written from Honda or another source that shows this is a problem and needs to be fixed immediately?

thanks

Stan
