And no - my Civic is "Dark Amethyst Pearl", aka - purple. Trust me - if DCP was less red, I would have a RL in my driveway already. (Then again, it wouldn't be called 'Cherry' then, I suppose)

I put a deposit on a black 2009 RTS yesterday. The dealer had a white one on the lot - the salesperson asked if she could convince me to drive off in it instead, jokingly saying they could paint it black for me. I pointed to the purple Civic outside the window and told her if they could make it that color, I'd pay extra!

I started with an internet request to 5 or so dealers on Edmunds when I saw the incentive double to 3K. The barrage of phone calls and emails started. All were willing to sell me SOMETHING, go figure, but no one had an 09 RTL left. Then a nice girl from Bernardi somehow got me live, and right on the phone matched the price, but at my request, $1500 less (additional dealer cash Honda added this month) than a September month-end rock-bottom price I passed on the month before from another dealer.

So no haggling at the dealer. No heavy pressure for add ons. Great dealer purchase experience.

I got the tour of the service area today. Wow. Pretty amazing service department. Wireless internet for while you're waiting. Van service to wherever nearby, Natick Mall, etc. Are all dealers like this now? I feel like Rip Van Winkle, not having bought since 1999.

Took delivery today too. I love this truck. Love watching the real time mpg. I get 40mpg down hills! But 3 mpg starting off at a red light.

I wish I had something big to pick up today!

Congratulations on the new ride. Can't wait to see pics of that charcoal interior combination with the DCP. I have an 08 RTL DCP with tan interior; which seems to be more common.
