Re: Installing EBC Brake Pads/Drilled Rotors

According to their website and their sales staff, they don't make HAWK brake pads for the Ridgeline

Re: Installing EBC Brake Pads/Drilled Rotors

Rusty, what's your review of the Yellow and Green EBC brakes? I'm torn between doing your combo Yellow front, Green back, or Green all the way around... I'd like to order them today but can't make up my mind which ones to get!

Re: Installing EBC Brake Pads/Drilled Rotors

just got back from vegas....and all their road construction zones....I can truthfully say the yellows in front and greens in the back gave me much better stopping and control than my stock pads. It's crazy driving around Las Vegas, what with all the rubber necking drivers and you have to be able to stop on a dime if you want to survive the strip and my new brakes performed great. This Sunday I'll try and go out and do a comparison test with stopping and will post it here.

Re: Installing EBC Brake Pads/Drilled Rotors

Thanks for the update Rusty, I just got my pads yesterday from oddjob and inspected my brakes. Surprisingly all 4 corners are still like new on my truck so it will be a little while before I tear into the install. Looking forward to anymore reports from you

Just an FYI, it IS Possible to get Yellow Stuff for the front and rear of your Ridgeline.

Part Numbers are:

Front - DP41753R and Rear -DP41754R

I was able to order them from here:

http://www.hallspeedshop.com/

Took 6 weeks to get the rear pads, but since I was in no hurry I was OK with that.

I also when with rotors from TransAuto on ebay and was happy with drilled/slotted set I got from them.

Braking is absolutely stronger, especially when towing. More more pad dust but I expected that.

The original thread (with a pic of the rear set after I did the work) was here:

Re: Installing EBC Brake Pads/Drilled Rotors

I ended up going with the Green all the way around with cross drilled rotors. With shipping the total came out to around $350, not too bad. Should be installed in a week or two, I'll post my reviews afterward. I figured OEM worked well thus far so the Green would be better then OEM and the Yellow would be overkill for my needs.

Re: Installing EBC Brake Pads/Drilled Rotors

hey guys, I'm replacing the rear brakes and discs on my 2006 ridge. I did the front a few months back and had no problems.

the rear however is giving me a hard time, both the set screws were broken and I drilled them out and have pounded the crap out of the old disk and it;s reasonably loose but won't come off...is there something else holding it on I should know about or do i just keep pounding the heck out of it?

Make sure you don't have your emergency/parking brake set. Also check out this link for any additional help.
