Water pouring out of RL

I stopped off at my brother-in-laws house the other day. 90 degrees out and fairly muggy. Went inside for 5 min. When I returned I noticed copious amounts of water pouring out from under the RL. It was comparible to someone emptying a water bottle. Is this normal? The fluid was def. water. I have never seen so much water.

Re: Water pouring out of RL

sounds like the AC unit is working hard. All cars pour water out of the AC unit (that's how it works... dehumidifier, pulls water from the air)

If the fluid was 100% water, I wouldn't worry about it

Just wondering what kind of vehicle you had before the Ridgeline hwangtdk.
I had 3 other Honda vehicles from an 80 Prelude with factory air put in as an option back then & 2 Accords in the 90s.
When I first got my 00 Acura 3.2 TL it put out more water from the A/C then any other car I had. It even put out more then the 93 Dodge minivan we had in the family. The Ridgeline does soak the ground when it takes a leak. Its was 95 here yesterday in DC already 92 here now at 1:00PM.
The Ridgeline is at the dealership having the recall done on the HVAC wire & an oil change today. Iam sure it will put out plenty of water in this heat we have but its normal.

Re: Water pouring out of RL

Mine has been leaving huge puddles in this 100+° Texas heat and 80% relative humidity. My central air has been producing copious amounts of condensation - good for my plants! One of the units here at work drains into the parking lot. It literally looks like a water hose continuously pouring out water all day long. I'd estimate it's about an 10-12 ton unit. My engineering mind has me thinking of making a heat exchanger for the cold condensate for a tiny increase in efficiency.
