Skid Plate?
I see several dealers advertise the 2012 Ridgeline as being equipped with skid-plates. Fact or fiction? If so how many and where. I don't think the 2011 Pilot has any.

I can't imagine that it is an off-road skid plate.

Wishful dreaming by those dealers, but there is a very simplistic "rock guard" in the middle of the truck, just where the ground clearance is the least--NOT a good place for low-hanging stuff.
Anyway, there are NO real off-road-type skid plates like those on the Toyota Tacoma. Of course, if you try to take a RL where Tacoma owners can go, you won't get too far if it's real rocky. Just look under the RL and compare what you see with what's under a Tacoma--BIG difference! |
