Wow. You have some LOW sales tax if you bought it for $30k. Very strange that it was traded so quickly and to a BMW dealership, no less. Whoever bought it initially must have thought they needed a truck, but really didn't. Just means a good deal for you!

Previous owner traded it on a Mini. Reportedly she was quite small of stature. I'm guessing that's why the headrests were gone.

The Ridgeline remains the lowest stocked inventory vehicle on area Honda lots near me. This tells me delaers will discount less than say on an Accord or Civic. Seems most are willing to onlyndiscount a little. Before I bought mine at the dealer I have used sine '99' I price checked 3 other rea dealers and none would discount over the $3k my regular dealer was offering me. Also I took advantage of Honda's 0.9% financing for 36 months. I had to take delivery earlier than planned to get that financing as the program ended 10/31/12. Though I suppose these programs come and gomthroughout the year based on sale performance...

The low RL inventory seems to be reflected in my area too. I don't know if that is production driven or demand driven... or some of both. What few I see on the lots don't seem to hang around very long.

Wow. That's awesome! It's 7% here, so that's quite a big difference. The small statured woman story makes sense. RL to a Mini is even more drastic. She probably took a huge hit on depreciation when she traded it in. Her loss - your gain.

Now I just have to sell my old car. I was offered a trade-in of $700 for my 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5SE.

I will try and get a picture. But its nothing too special, takes up about 1/3rd of the mirror when you back up. Has guide lines, but they don't change colors.
