New Lift & Tires on the way.....

Got the RL in the shop as we speak getting a 2" Ready Lift installed, with the plan for new tires and wheels next week. Will post pics as I can. Looking forward to the change. Thanks to all of those on here that have given advice and posted pics of their mods.

Picked up the RL this evening from the shop. They did an awesome job and I am very happy with the result. I'm glad I did it. Can't wait for the wheels & tires to get in next week.

Not that anyone needs a reminder on what a RL looks like pre-lift, but here are a couple anyway:



And here is a shot post-lift:


The shop installed a ReadyLift 2" kit. And from the looks of the kit on the website, and from what was described at the shop, this is a true 2" lift.

Great guys to work with. For anyone located in the SW Washington/Portland, OR area, I would highly recommend them. The install included the alignment as well.

Next week will be wheels and tires. Going with the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac (245/70/17) and GF-X OR-7 wheels (17x8.5, 35 offset).

Will update with pictures then. The OEM 18" wheels don't look to bad. Just want a more aggressive look. Not wanting to go any bigger than that though.

$800 and change. That included the kit, install, and alignment. I know that it is more pricey than people have been posting on here, but the problem I was running into was the lack of shops that would do the work. And those that would, I didn't trust doing the work. Only a handful of shops would let you bring in a kit that you purchased to have them do the install, and those were the shops that left me feeling less than trustworthy. I have friends that have used these guys and highly recommended their work. I have no problem paying more for experience in the install and the warranty behind the work done. I am not a DIY person at all when it comes to stuff like this. If I would have tried this the cost would have been at least twice as much I'm sure.....after all of the screw ups that I probably would have caused.

Looking for the pics of your new wheels and tires with that lift. It should look good.

I was curious about the difference in wheels/tires, and using a generic tire comparison site, it looks like your new tire/wheel combo will be about an inch larger in diameter than your OEM setup. My rough calc puts your actual speed at about 3% more than your speedometer says, based on revs/mile.



I'll also be curious if you note much difference in perceived power as the new combo will feel like you have taller gearing.

New tires and wheels are on this morning!! Love the look and love the ride. Not much increase in road noise at all. I think they set off the RL very well. There is a slight amount of rubbing at almost full lock out. So, will need to look into trimming or just removing the mud flaps.

Yep. Just went ahead and had the mud flaps removed on the front...no more rubbing. America's Tires was AWESOME with the install and dealing with the rubbing when I popped back in. I was curious if there are aftermarket RL mudflaps that are thinner. Was amazed at how thick they are.
