Re: Ridgeline vs Audi S5 accident

I was looking at the damage & yes that small stuff can add up.
When my nephew hit the garage door with his 09 Ford Focus when it was new just a ding & little scratch they said $800 at body shop. That is more damage then he had.

Re: Ridgeline vs Audi S5 accident

In doing what I do for a living, and seeing the after effects of impaired driver's and the damage they inflict, I really wish you would have got this guy off of the street. He's only out $500, but who knows what could happen down the "road", literally. Nothing you haven't already heard, just throwing in my $.02 worth. Glad you are OK.

Re: Ridgeline vs Audi S5 accident

I agree get him off the road when the guy hit my sister in the rear bumper of the Ridgeline. He had been in another accident that mourning but had not reported it to his insurance company & that was late afternoon.

My bumper had a small gash and few scratches. his audi had a broken headlight, grill, broken bumper. I told him he had two choices or he payed me $500 or we go with a police report. Then I found out he has been drinking and slurrin his words. We cut a deal and drove to a local ATM and cashed out with $500. I was pretty mad, but then after looking at it i was pleased with the minor damage. I couldnt get pics of his damage but here is mines. Strongest truck ive ever had, didnt feel a thing.

If you guys think I over charged?? I think i saved him from a DUI lol Attachment 62407 Attachment 62408

Tell me you at least got his information (Drivers License number, License Plate number, Name, Address, ect.)?

$500 does not go very far at a body shop.

"Then I found out he has been drinking and slurrin his words."
Plus he rearended you. Those alone would have been enough for a DUI.
Being the nice guy is not always best.

Re: Ridgeline vs Audi S5 accident

It's a good thing the OP was paying attention to what was going on around him rather than texting during the stop or whatever. He probably saved having some major damage done.

Re: Ridgeline vs Audi S5 accident

The corner saved it from getting more damage, but at 20 mph, it is even hard to know how it would have turned out if it did not hit the corner.
