Re: Need to decide on a new Floor Jack
Not sure about the floor jack, but it does have a working range of 3.5 to 21 3/8 inches, which should be sufficient to work the central jack points.
Those Torin 6t jackstands are my favs. I have two pair of them and find putting the saddles about 18.5 or 19 inches from the ground works perfectly at the side lift points to put my RL's wheels just off the ground. That puts the j/s roughly halfway or less up and I feel very comfy with them vs my older j/s that are 3 or 4t but don't have the working range and are at or near the top of the working range to get the wheels off the ground. That looks not as stable to me. Here's some comparisons: http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/f...8&postcount=27 ![]() Here's my long frame floor jack working the rear central jackpoint. ![]() I have some pics somewhere here on the ROC where I show all that. Ah yes. Here they are: http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/f...ad.php?t=45113 |

Re: Need to decide on a new Floor Jack
Where is the lift point under the front and rear? Do I have to use the side lift points one at a time?

Re: Need to decide on a new Floor Jack
They hard to miss, they are both black and they are like a little metal stick pointing down, the front one has a hole on it, I thought it was just a point to be pulled by another car but it is a lift point.

Re: Need to decide on a new Floor Jack
I see that and am not sure.
Edit: It is definitely not the tranny drain bolt. That's on the opposite side of the casing, and is, coincidentally, blue too. Last edited by speedlever; 11-29-2012 at 01:06 PM. |

I just got mine, and the weld part which hold the "Cone" together doesn't seem much.(very thin). By the way they are on sale today for $34.99 at NT... I don't know how long that will last because I discovered that NT pricing is ridiculous... it changes daily. |

Re: Need to decide on a new Floor Jack
I have used them a number of times and haven't noticed any issues with the welds at all. Hope I never have any issues with them either!
