Re: Guns...yes!!!!guns & The Ridgeline!!!!!
Spent Thanksgiving with friends in Arizona and that included a trip out to the desert. This is a Rock River AR. Wish there was a better way to post video. Its quite satisfying to hear the shot and then about a second later the gong sound from across the bowl at 125 yards. Everyone brought their stuff so lots of guns to try. I sure enjoy shooting with full cap mags that you cant get in CA.

LOL, break into my home - which by definition, means threatening my family - and all 'sportsmanship' is off the table.

Re: Guns...yes!!!!guns & The Ridgeline!!!!!
My best guess would be in her purse (possibly one of those ones like below with a hidden holster in one end) or in a holster under her jacket. The key thing is that she had it when she needed it and knew how to use it.

My guess is the guy wanting to frisk her didn't find it first.

Re: Guns...yes!!!!guns & The Ridgeline!!!!!
Thanks Mikey, but if it were that simple I'd already have done so.
However, after waiting for over two months to get this gun I finally gave in and accepted a CT/MA/MD/NJ/NY version (S&W SKU #811037) which meant it came with a 10-round magazine, no flash suppressor and a fixed S&W stock that is "staked/pinned" so as to make it non-removable. Actually, there are two of these "stakes" or "pins" (pictured below), one to secure the stock to the buffer tube and another to secure the castle nut to the receiver. I have absolutely no idea how to remove these, much less how to do so without damaging the weapon, so I believe that it's safest to get a professional gunsmith to do this little job. Also, from what I've read online, many/most of the more commonly available castle nut tools really don't work all that well and my guess is that this little job will cost me less than one of the really good tools.

Re: Guns...yes!!!!guns & The Ridgeline!!!!!
You could drill out the one in the stock fairly easily - much easier with a drill press than by hand. Same for the castle nut, but you're far more likely to leave a permanent scar on the lower on that one.
Stocks, buffer tubes and castle nuts are all cheap and easy to replace, and I don't think you'll do anything other than aesthetic damage tot he lower by drilling out that front pin. Touch of duracoat when you're done (or strip and durcoat the entire lower so the finish is consistent) and you're in business.

My son is getting a fun Christmas present this year. Just hope he invites dad along for some shooting fun.
