New member with a 2006 Ridgeline RTL

I just bought a 2006 Ridgeline RTL in Billet Silver Metallic with 268,000 miles for $9700. The interior is in absolutely fantastic shape but does require quite a bit more detailing. The drivetrain feels very good but the major service has been put off by the previous owner.

Here's the plan and parts have been ordered or service that will be performed:

Timing belt (and pretty much every metal part under the covers including cam seals), water pump, valve adjustment, radiator, all new fluids (PS, brake, VTM, coolant) and bleeding all systems.

Needless to say, until it gets done the truck is in the garage because I don't want to take the chance of the TB snapping.

Glad to be here, here's to many years of ownership and hopefully being able to help a few people where I can.

Fortunately no. A belt change was done some time ago, looks like around 130K or so. Unfortunately all the records from the used car dealer don't have mileage, just dates.

I don't pay much attention to the going rate on used RLs. What's most interesting to me here is that someone is willing to pay $10k for an RL that has almost 300k miles on it. That's not a knock at the op just a surprise is all.

I felt like "saving" this RL. As crazy as it sounds, this truck is too good to let it be crushed or dumped into an auction in a few years because of negligence...and I have no doubt it would. Like I said, the interior is considered near perfect and when you account for it being 6 years old it makes it even more amazing. This truck just needs to be maintained properly and brought back from a downward spiral.

I get what you're saying, but when I do car maintenance...I do it 100% correctly.
