The front upper tiedowns are removed and a frame rail mounts using the existing bolt holes. Very simple install.

I think most of these covers mount this way.

Re: Truxedo Lo-Pro installed

From what i've seen the Peragon does not. It uses the 3 bolts along the cab for mounting.

Re: Truxedo Lo-Pro installed

Ron,

I need some clarification: I understand the existing bolt holes are used, but can the upper tie downs be put back in??

Re: Truxedo Lo-Pro installed

The stock ones cannot as the rails get in the way of their use. You could try a custom replacement tie down bracket though you'd have to Fab one.

I can Confirm, since i just installed one lol, that the Peragon Cover does not. I also have seen images of Extangs that do not use the tie-down bolt locations as well. I'm not certain if that is every extang or just some models though.

Re: Truxedo Lo-Pro installed

I have this cover and like it for the most part. My only issue is that does not give a tight seal between the lift gate the cover. There is a rubber flap on the end but it doesn't really come in contact with the gate. Not sure about the access covers but they seem to have the same quality with hopefully a better seal.

Re: Truxedo Lo-Pro installed

I wasn't aware of any claims to get better mpg's. However, I thought with the cruise control on during highway runs that I noticed an avg of 1-2 mpg increase on the same stretch of land as soon as I put it on there. Anyone else?
