Re: XM Radio -- How to get the discount

I sometimes listen to their 2 weeks of free service, if I'm out of the area, that they offer periodically. I too have been "burned" too many times and get a lot of satisfaction shredding their "deals".

I can't believe anyone would pay for XM radio as the reception is so bad!!! ( if you live anywhere near mountains and trees.)

Near mountains and trees maybe, and tall city buildings.

But I think most people buy satellite radio because it can work anywhere 99% of the time.

I believe some of the bigger cities have repeaters to deal with the bad reception caused by tall buildings.

Probably why I've never noticed it as a problem, most anywhere.

Re: XM Radio -- How to get the discount

Sorry I'm new here. My ridgeline came with the Add-on XM radio. So I just call XM CS and tell them what exactly to get this awesome deal?

Yeah, and hope someone listens. You need to be persistent, they will try to wear you down, but don't want to lose a sale either. Maybe it makes a difference whether it's the end of the month, etc.

Re: XM Radio -- How to get the discount

I tried 3 different times today. Talked to 3 different customer service people and a supervisor, said they don't know anything about the discount. Well I tried...
