Dang! I think my 06 may be in this group. I've followed the instructions, but can only get the driver's side to either stay locked or unlock automatically. Passenger doors will not unlock automatically.

Re: the instructions, the 2nd (10 sec) click never happens.

Same with my '06 (built 05/05). I read up on the DIY fuse box change and decided it wasn't worth the effort right now. I find the auto door locks annoying and just disabled the feature.

Hi Silver,

This is how I did it. These instructions are also in the owner's manual.

TO TURN THE AUTO DOOR LOCK MODES OFF:

• Make sure the shift lever is in Park. Then, open driver's door
• Turn the ignition switch to ON
• Set the parking brake
•Push and hold the front of the master door lock switch on the driver's door. You will hear a clicking sound after about 5 seconds
• Release the switch, and turn the ignition switch to LOCK within 5 seconds.

Now I just lock all the doors when I need to. And I don't have passengers looking at me like I'm the only one who can let them out lol.

I deactivated both features, auto lock n' unlock. Now, how the hell I'm supposed to turn it back on??? Somebooodie heeeelp!!!. I unplugged battery and everything still deactivated.
I also tried all the settings NONE worked!!! no even the manual says anything about how to turn it back ON.

See the post before yours, but I think you have to wait for two clicks. One between 1 and 5 seconds, then another 5 seconds after that.

I don't believe the later models have changed the door lock programming. Look in your OM under Door Locks. That should be found under the Instruments and Controls section of the OM. Around page 85 in my 2008 OM. Just follow the instructions there to set the programming to your option of your choice.



As Lingered mentioned, you have to hold the lock down until you hear the 2nd click... about 5 seconds. But it's all there in the OM.

I have mine set to lock when the shift lever moves out of Park and to unlock when I move the shift lever into Park.
