price on factory 18" rims???

I want to get some new rims for my 2010 rt, i have the factory steel 17" rims. I found these on craigslist. They are new dealer takeoffs, mileage only to dealer, and come complete with tires, sensors, just no lug nuts. What would be considered a good price to buy these? i have not priced factory rims at all, i figure if i can get a good deal, i could run these in the summer and run my factory steel in the salty winter...

I have seen just the rims being offered for $600.00-700.00 and tires $700.00 to $800.00 on CL but it comes down to how bad the seller wants to sell them and how much someone is willing to pay for them....

I bought a set of 18s from a guy in Marysville, OH. The wheels had about 3K miles on them, no damage, used (7/32s remaining) Michelin tires, and no TPMS. I paid $950 delivered to my town when the guy came up for the Detroit autoshow.

The wheels you're looking at in Vandalia look nice. I'd see if you can get them for close to $1K.

I usually see "almost new" take-offs being sold for between $1000-1200 (may be driven around for a couple months before they decided to buy new rims). I haven't seen too many ads for the Ridgeline, but the base 18" rims on my Audi Q5 are always being listed for around $1000. I'd agree with Car Compulsive to shoot for $1000, but since these have no real mileage on them they will probably ask for slightly more.

guy is firm on the $1195 price. If i needed new tires right now i might jump on it, but w/ only 35k on my current tires, and lots of life left, its hard to let go of 1200 bucks right now.

Wow, I was right on the money ... I was thinking closer to $1200 since they are actually new and not a few months old.

Consider this: If your current steelies have good tread on them, you should be able to sell them for about $400. That makes the new rims only $800, which is slightly less than the price of new Michelins mounted/balanced. That makes the upgrade to 18" free, plus you don't have to worry about new tires for another 70+k miles!

Like you said, buy them and run the steel wheels in the winter. When the tires on the winter wheels get worn, replace them with winter tires.
