If it is, the difference in total price between Bernardi and Curry could be almost 2X!! |

Re: Maintenance Info
My local dealer price matches, so I normally give them the business since shipping is generally > sales tax.

But it's still hard to beat Curry on fluids with free shipping. Have not checked them that closely for other parts. |

Re: Maintenance Info
I updated the original post. again please feel free to add or correct this info. if anyone can post a link to good write ups I will add them.
I did some fluid changes today (50mi past due) the transfer case was due last time but I put it off til now. it was fairly easy with a bottle of gear oil with the pointed spout you can just stick in the fill hole. really gotta squeeze the **** out of it to get enough out. i think a large syringe would make this job alot easier. I did one D&F on the transmission today. I did 3 last time when it was due and ended up being slightly over filled with 3.75 quarts. Today I drained it and filled with 3.25 (every drop I had) and it is slightly under filled. so I guess 3.5 is on the money? what's your experience?

Re: Maintenance Info
Yes, 3.5 qts (+/-) seems pretty close for me on my two Hondas. That formed the basis of the spreadsheet calcs I did a while back.

Re: Maintenance Info
Not sure what you mean Hamhocs. Oh wait, you mean use the 2nd bottle on the next service of the TA. Then combine the bottles. Yep, that's what I do too.
One full bottle is 1 qt. The transfer assembly takes about 1 pint (half qt) of fluid. I actually bought a qt bottle hand pump, but haven't put it into service yet.
