Question about 22" wheel and tire fitment...

Seems like after some searching, just about everyone with 22's on here are running 265/35/22's. Is this the max tire size?

I'm wondering because after seeing the honda ridgeline street sport concept, that particular truck is running 22x10 with a 305/40/22 tire setup. On top of that, it's lowered. Now who knows if this truck actually got any real world use and we have no way of knowing if that setup rubbed or not, but has anyone tried 305/40/22? It would give you some more rubber for keeping the 22's safe, just didn't know if it was do-able.

Also, what is the acceptable offset range for 22's (and what is the offset of the stock wheels while we are on the subject), both for a stock height ridge and a lowered ridge.

Thanks guys.
