I've researched this, since I'll be needing a set in the next few months. FYI, I've got about 62K miles, and look like I can get 70K comfortably.
You need General's Grabber HTS (Highway All Season). I've provided link to Tire Rack's test results, and another link that shows all of their brands with costs & user feedback on their experiences. FYI, These Generals carry a higher load rating than the OEM Michelins, and a higher user rating as well (highest user rating of any tire in this class). See what you think. My decision is; for the money, you can't loose. These Generals are $117 a piece (plus mount/bal), vs. $183 for the OEM Michelins. Notice that Road Hazard warranty is also about $8 less per tire. You'll save about $300 for the set. I think Khumos might be slightly cheaper, but don't rate as well. Either way, Tire Rack will recommend local tire shops to do the mounting/balancing, all of whom will have their prices posted on line for you to comparison shop. I paid about $15 per tire all inclusive. Tire Rack drop ships to the shop you identify when you order, and then you make an appointment with the shop to have them mounted in a couple of days, when the tires arrive.
Also, If you live in the Connecticut area, my son runs a tire shop there, and he's the only place I know that can beat Tire Rack's prices (he's a one man shop but gets volume pricing through his distributor). Let me know if you need that info as well. Good Luck.
