WTB OEM iPod hook-up

looking for the oem honda ipod hook-up for my truck cause i hate the one i have it sucks and i hate the sound quality.

If iPod interoperability and sound are really important the OEM may not be the best answer for you. All it is really is is an expensive power cable with very limited interoperability capabilities. If you don't have Navi I would suggest replacing the radio head with an Alpine or some other model that has a good iPod interface that lists the song titles, etc. The OEM is a lot of money and takes a lot of time to install for very little benefit.

I used the USA Spec - PA11-HON2Y works great. Many have bought the OEM and scrapped it and went to the USA Spec model. But I do agree, I got rid of my adapter to OEM radio to go with aftermarket head unit, not much more money at all.

so, the oem unit is junk?

can you use the steering wheel controls to switch songs, volume, etc with the oem unit? how about aftermarket units? any out there that you can still use the steering wheel controls?

USA Spec - PA11-HON2Y is able to be controlled via steering wheel controls or factory HU.

i compared it against the honda link or whatever its called.

great product and still has an extra AUX input. hmmmm DVD player?

I use my laptop for navi and plugged it in there for voice commands.

It was $100, and the navi software by Microsoft is awesome!
