How much can I safely carry?

Hello again. I have another question, how much weight can I put in the flat bed safely? I got outdoor yard work to do and I got to buy allot of top soil, drainage gravel, grass seed, etc (Got half acre property to work on) so how much have you guys put in the flat bed without doing damage to the truck. I remember I carried 800 pounds (Not including myself and two other people) in my old 4 cylinder 94' Accord so I am hoping I can do much more than 1000 pounds in the Ridgeline. Thanks for the input.

I believe the payload is around 1500 pounds, if I remember correctly. It should be in your owner's manual. I think I figured up once after the fact that I actually had 1800 pounds in mine.

I read the manual and it said something like 1,100 pounds. I just wanted to make sure I was reading it right. But is that 1,100 pounds just for the cargo bed or 1,100 pounds minus passengers?
