Exclamation Ridgeline bogs when warm after running 5 hours off and on stop and go...

I have an o8 Ridge. When I deliver pizza in this truck, AFTER turning it off every delivery, about 4 or 5 hour sinto my shift the gas pedal feels stiff and the truck barely moves unless it is floored from a dead stop... Could this be bad gas? No check engine light is on. I have been running Phillips 89 octane since this happened, only got better gas mileage by 1.5 m.p.g., Tonka still bogs down...Tonka has backfired during passing at about 5500 6000 r.p.m. also. The only mod I have is a K and n cold air kit, and this has been the same since day one. Also when Tonka is warmed up, the exhaust smells like chlorine bleach... real noxious... Any help?

Jace

take it to the dealer, sounds like "tonka" as issues.

I wouldn't tach-out Tonka this early in the break-in process. ( I saw your post in another thread...1500mi.

There's the problem. How many pizza deliveries did that cost you? Why put that crap on there?

You said the exhaust smells.....possibly your catalytic converter is going, and sometimes the "brick" inside the converter causes blockage and may explain hesitation.

Maybe it's fouled out from the K&N oil.

The k and n was only put on recently. I am getting 16.5 m.p.g. city instead of 15, so it didnt cost me a thing lol... Break in process is a bunch of hog wash... They tested two identical 1988 labaron turbos, one broken in to factory specs, one not, they both burned the SAME amount of oil at 100,000 miles lol

Mechanical engineering degree, school of Hard Knocks, I know after about 350-to 500 miles the piston rings have completly seated and the engine has been broken in, if it was 2500 to 5000 miles, then why arent all the vehicles that are hot rodded blown up already? "They" were the cars they tested for this break in process. I have taken my truck to the dealer, they drove it cold said it drives fine. I cannot take the truck in to the dealer when this issue happens because I am working and it is usually about 1 or 2 am... I believe the dealer needs to give me a loaner and keep my truck till they figure out whats wrong with it... Doesn't anyone else name things they love???

My local dealer agreed to take Tonka and keep him overnight run some gas out till he gets warm to cause the issue. Prolly the cat. converter...
