WTB: 4 Stock Michelin Tires

I have a second set of '06 RTL Wheels (thanks, Pizzaman) that I have had powdercoated a dark gray (Anthracite) and need a set of 4 low mileage OEM Michelin tires to go on them. Prefer not to have to pay for shipping - anyone in the midwest have any that I might pick up?

OOC, what are they quoting for new Michelins locally? I got a local price of $230/ea which was eye-opening.

Edit: I bought the same tires (but in 16" size) from the same company for my T100 a few years ago for around $160/ea, iirc. That's a pretty steep price increase.

I'll have to take a few pics - just got the wheels back from the powdercoater.

Stock new Michelins are $200. + each around here. I have 51,000 miles on my original tires and will get at least another 10k out of them. I hate to spend that much for tires for the second set of rims.

If I have to purchase new tires, I am considering the Cooper CTS in the same size as OEM. Any experience with this tire?

$230 EACH!!! IS THAT WITH INSTALL?? i found bigger tires that will fit cheaper then that at tirerack.com

Yep, installed price. But I'd have to shop that price some. What are you seeing in the DC area?

This maybe a little off post but I wanted to ask.

I must have cut a corner closer than I thought and gashed my right rear tire.

The gash is about an inch long and is not leaking at all. If it was only 1 tire I had to replace I would go ahead. But with only 16k on these I want to see if I can get a couple more months out of them.

Is this s safety issue? Can I just replace the tire that has a gash?

I would have to opine that a sidewall cut is very likely a safety issue.
