Consumer Reports: Best overall pickup truck

Consumer Reports has once again ranked the Honda Ridgeline as the most reliable pickup truck in their latest issue.

Also, the Chevrolet Avalanche which I've seen compared to the RL, I'll never understand why, has fallen and no longer receives Consumers Reports recommendations.

Re: Best overall pickup truck

Which issue of CR are you referring to?? The last one I saw rated the Ridgeline as the best value in a mid-size truck, and rated the Avalance as the best value in a full-sized truck.

No matter, the only thing that's important is that the Ridgeline is still tops.

and the Ford and Dodge owners are pissed that CR picked "not a truck" as the best overall value truck

Re: Consumer Reports: Best overall pickup truck

Yep, the latest issue of Consumer Reports rated the Ridgeline as the 'best value' in a pickup truck.....not just a mid-sized truck. And yes, the Avalance has fallen from grace and is no longer recommended by CR. But hey, no one here is surprised.

Need invoice price of 2010 fully loaded ridgeline

Does anyone have as true invoice price for a 2010 fully loaded ridegline with navi, the works. I have been given the opportunity to purchase one from a dealer below invoice due to a severe dealership OOPS and I want to be sure that I am getting a fair deal. Can anyone help with this.

Think the closest you're going to get is looking at edmunds.com. Don't forget to figure in $700 or so for delivery charges unless you've already accounted for it.

The new Consumer Reports vehicle issue came out today. Has anyone seen what was written about the RL?

The RL is rated the number one vehicle in the "Pickups:Compact" category with a score of 79 followed by the Nissan Frontier (score of 67) and Toyota Tacoma TRD (score of 63).

In the "Pickups:Full Sized" category, the Chevrolet Avalanche LT was rated tops (score of 74) but is not recommended due to below average reliability. The next was the Chevrolet Silverado (70), Tundra (69), F-150, (68).

Reliability and owner satisfaction for the RL, much above average and ownership cost average. Writeup praises the roomy cab, easy access and smooth V-6. Primary criticism is pronounced road noise; however, this criticism was cited for every Honda vehicle in the ratings (except the Crosstour which has not been tested).

Re: Consumer Reports: Best overall pickup truck

Not Consumers, but another positive review. Nothing worse than a mutual admiration society right? Anyway this list was in our local paper last week.

Huh. Someday I'll have to turn my radio down so I can hear some of this road noise people keep talking about...
