how do you remove the plastic door sills?
I recently purchased a retrax and the dynolock. Retrax install was simple. Dynolock looks fairly simple but I am a bit stuck trying to remove the plastic door sills. Dynolock instructions just say that they come off with light pressure. The only thing that I can find on the forum basically says the same thing....it sounds simple.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where to push or pull (and in which direction) to get the darn things off and don't want to snap them in half (or break a bunch of little unseen plastic clips that may exist). Any help would be great. Thanks! |

Just pry them off with something that won't scratch the paint. A flat blade screwdriver with a little tape or cloth would work great if you don't have KTC tools.
They should not break if you do it in warmer weather. I took mine off when I purchased the beautiful billet door sills from 5SDude. Brad

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'm calling the thing by the wrong name. The billet pieces are really nice looking but I'm talking about the plastic piece just inside of where those go; the one that allows access to the door lock wires.

Re: how do you remove the plastic door sills?
Thanks larryr!!
I just needed to see a pic of where to start. They popped off no problem when I started from the outside rear corner like your picture shows; when I had tried from the inside, they really didn't want to come off. Dynolock install, here I come.
