Ridgeline Bed Rug?

I am trying to find a bed rug for my 08 and would like some suggestions. Tried searching the forums, but must have missed the carpet liner posings...

I want it to be carpeted because I will have dogs back there from time to time. I guess rubber would be ok, but would prefer carpet also so things slide in and out more easily.

There is a bedrug brand, but it looks like they don't make one for ridgeys...

Thanks again!

Re: Ridgeline Bed Rug?

If you need to go with a rubber mat, many of us have the Protecta bed mat, fits and protects the Ridgeline bed very well.

I also have the Protecta Bed Mat. Works great. Everything 'sticks' to it so they don't slide. Not to mention you can still open the trunk OK.

I haven't priced around, but here's one at Amazon.

Re: Ridgeline Bed Rug?

Thanks Kris and Matt.

If I go with a rubber-style mat I will give the protecta model a good look.

I am getting an A.R.E. top and would really like something "cloth-ish", like maybe a berber carpet material for the bed. I looked at some at Lowe's this weekend that had some padding built in.

Cheers,
Allen

Re: Ridgeline Bed Rug?

I'd get some outdoor carpet from Lowes, tough and washable.

Re: Ridgeline Bed Rug?

I used to have a BedRug brand liner for my last truck, a Silverado. I thought the liner was overpriced at the time I bought it, about $200. I would agree with those that suggested either the rubber mat liner which would be washable, or the cut-it-yourself carpet which would be easily replaceable.

Re: Ridgeline Bed Rug?

Another alternative is the Elemmat rubber bed mat. They are a sponsor of this forum (discount code = ROC10). I have a '10 RTL with an ARE cap and the Elemmat with regular shag carpeting over the top...my two dogs love it back there. The mat is a converyor belt material (durable) and has diamond pattern which keeps the carpet in place, but the mat alone would probably be uncomfortable Would be happy to post pictures if you like.

I have been using a 46"x60" area rug that was in my shop area over a thin rubber mat and it has been ok. I think I will upgrade to something like an elemat and then cut a piece of berber carpet to fit over it now that I realize that the elemat will keep the carpet from moving.

Thanks for the tip,
Allen

Re: Ridgeline Bed Rug?

I just bought my ridgeline and don't know if I should by the protecta mar or the elemat. any advice on which one. here is a video

My wife has the elemat for her element and doesn't like it all that much - it slips and slides around all the time.

What to do?
