outer banks, nc

Just got back from a week at the outer banks in nc. We rented a house on Carova beach that you had to drive 9.5 miles down the beach to get to. I have to say the ridgeline did great! I didn't have any trouble. I did air down to about 22psi and pulled the 20A VSM fuse when I got there. There were wild horses and huge puddles of water everywhere. If you ever have a chance to go you should.

Nice shots! How did you know how deep those puddles were? You are braver than I.

Re: outer banks, nc

If you're out there at a bad time, sometimes, you have to drive through that much water on the roads.

Good to know the RL handles it like a champ.

Re: outer banks, nc

My dad still lives in Manteo and my kids love to ride out on the beach when we go. Carova is way too far north for me - but we have been out on the Oregon Inlet access with no problems. That location can be very tricky but we have never gotten stuck. The Dodge and mud bugger crowd do a double to see a "Ridgeline" hanging with them...we just wave as we cruise on by.

Nice pictures - I think the one horse was a little shy.
