Forecast to be a major hurricane by this weekend. Currently on a WNW course.

As of this morning, she's predicted to veer away from our coast. My fingers are crossed, I don't want to be without power for an extended period of time again.

Looking at some of the computer models, there is a possibility of it veering North into the open Atlantic; let's hope it takes that route. It it is now predicted to reach Cat 3 status next week.

Living on the east coast of Florida, I get a sick feeling in my stomach whenever I see one of these storms pointed at us. After Charley, Francis, and Jeanne in 2004 I hope that I never have to endure another direct hit from a hurricane.
The storms are one thing but dealing with the insurance companies in the aftermath is another nightmare all together. They take your money for years and when you have a claim they deny it..

Hopefully won't take a hard curve west. I have to go to Monroe, LA next week.

Looks like another storm with potential problems on the Gulf Coast later this week, LA, AL, FL panhandle!!
