Any new Civic owners on board???

My wife has a 2001 Accord EX V-6 with 70,000 miles, but she thinks she wants to get a new Civic. We drove one last weekend and loved it. That thing is a blast to drive and is as quiet and solid as her Accord.

If anybody can give me any info. I need before buying, I'd appreciate it.

Re: Any new Civic owners on board???

Which model did she drive? We just got the Si (amazing vehicle) - 5S Dude's son has an Si - AmazonRidge just bought a 4-door EX for his wife (and - AR and wife and Me and my wife & RidgeRats were at the same dealership on the same day at the same time!)

What to look for: Don't count on being able to get a Navi - apparently a problem w/ the supplier - if you want one, you'll have to wait - May is what we heard.

Our experience is that they are not dealing much on the vehicle. Lots of demand, and car of the year making it move itself.

So far, no issues, but we've only had it for a couple weeks.

Kellcut (I think) has the '06 Civic hybrid.

Those are the 4 I know of.

70 thou! Man yer wife Accord is jus broke-in! New is always nice though and if I were young again, I would get a new Si too. If you've got kids then the four door is a very good choice, (but so is the new Accord). If you are younger and just need a two seater, the coupe or Si are really solid cars. like Frank sez, there are very few deals and in typical Honda style, it's supply & demand with relatively high sticker prices. Here's a photo of my kid's new Si with new 19 inch hoops.

You are correct, ridgeln, we have the new Civic hybrid.

We are getting about 45 mpg in it and love it. It's great because of hubby driving about 30 miles each way to and from school.

Re: Any new Civic owners on board???

Moms has a new EX and I love it, she too came out of an accord, a 2001 V6 with about 35k on it. She complains about the lack of leather, but thats it.

I've owned 2 civics myself (97 and an 01) and an accord v6 in between - your wife will love this car

p.s. I should mention if I liked shifting and wanted a sporty compact fwd whip, the Si would be my go to car for certain.

Kellcut - hubby a teacher? What subject? District? You can feel free to PM if you'd rather not make this public.

The school I work at is on RIDGEVIEW road - of course I had to own a Ridgeline!

The Si would be nice, but I think she wants the EX, I think it is. She drives in rush hour traffic like I do and quit buying manual trans'd daily drivers.

We test drove the model down from the EX and it was great.

Re: Any new Civic owners on board???

I owned a 2005 Civic until I bought the RL, then passed it on to my mom. Loved it while I had it though...no problems at all. I've driven in the '06 Civic, quite a different look, which I like, and still drives awesome. Your wife won't be disappointed!

EX's are just as nice with automatics and you can always buy some Si wheels, the rear deck spoiler and some stickers from LadyRidge and fool a bunch of folks for a whole lot less doh-ray-me!!

You guy's have rush hour too???

Nah, he's in college. Decided he wanted to get out of retail life! He's taking accounting stuff right now.
