Question about Auto Armor

Hello ROC,
I'm a new member and this is my first post. Does anyone use or know anything about Auto Armor products. I bought the "Environmental Paint Protection System" by ECP with my new RL and the system included a car wash concentrate, paint protection cleaner/remover for the exterior and a leather/vinyl enhancer, and upholstery/carpet shampoo.
All this stuff sounded great when I was buying my new RL. But after reading a few threads I'm starting to think I made a bad purchase.

If anyone can give me advice please do.

Thank you,
Anthony

Re: Question about Auto Armor

Anthony,
First of all, welcome!

I did a search over on Autopia and didn't find much about Auto Armor except that's it's a dealer add-on/ upsell. Basically it's just a sealant (like Zaino or Klasse Sealant Glaze), but probably not that high of quality. Probably get an ok look out of it, but nothing spectacular. And I am sure they make outrageous claims on durability, but I wouldn't expect it to last more than a couple of months (as most sealants do).
So, it's probably not the best, but won't hurt anything if you're happy with the look. There are plenty of OTC products out there, as well as boutique products. Just depends on how much you want to get into it. My favorite OTCs right now are NXT (which is a sealant) and S100 (which is a carnauba-looks good but only lasts a few weeks).

Re: Question about Auto Armor

oh that's sound familiar....just buy eagle one products and maguires soap and wax. etc...the product the dealer sold you sounds like its an ad on and its just an additional cost to you. Like they say, don't put any 3rd party oil additives in your vehicle, you're just adding the more cost to do your maintanance.
