New SoCal Member.

Hey guys--I just wanted to introduce myself and say that this site has been my ridgeline bible. I saved probably thousands of dollars thanks to others who have posted their experiences here. So . . . thanks! This site really does roc!

Any local members here have a hard top cover they'd like to show off? I am in the market.

Hey there Dave, congrats on finding this great club of like minded folks and a sunny SoCal welcome. I’ve got three Ridgelines in my vicinity with camper shells on them if that is what you mean by a “Hard Top Cover” There are a few members who have the hard bed covers here as well.

Re: New SoCal Member.

Welcome SIMPLY DAVE, we're glad to have another SoCal Ridgeline owner onboard. Anytime you have a question, you know where to ask. When you get a chance, tell us any accessories you've added and post some pictures. We have a SoCal meet coming up in March so stayed tuned for more information.

Re: New SoCal Member.

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome. Accessories I plan on getting are:

Side steps
Roof Rack
Mac Mini install w/ indash or aux ipod adapter
Retrax cover or OEM Honda tonneau cover
Fogs

Question: anyone with the hard tonneau cover. Which should I get? The Retrax or the Honda OEM product?

Also is the roof rack worth it? I heard a lot of members complain about wind noise. I do plan on using if for snowboards, surfboards and maybe my mtb bikes. I also like the look.

--Thanks, I'd love to meet up for a car show. Pictures to come . . .

I'm a NorCal guy. I have the roof rack. No issues with wind noise that I can tell. If you're going to put snowboards, etc...you will get noise from those things.

I have the hard OE cover from honda.
I luv my cover, it creates a second trunk, to some people there are ups and downs to the OE cover from honda.
Some Ups
1. OE cover is lockable
2. Hard cover, very sturdy and keeps the value of your truck to standard OE accessories.
3. Lockable and glow in the dark locking handles
Some Downs
1. Cover is heavy and it can be remove by one person, but two people will be easier.
2. Not 100% waterproof, it will leak but not much...about half a cup from a sparklets water cup. or 1/4 of a cup from a 12 oz styrofoam cup.

Well, there are ups and downs with all accessories too. I don't have retrax but some ROC members do, you can ask them what they think about it.
it does look good but to what i see, it may take off a few inches away from usable space off from your bed.

Smile Re: New SoCal Member.

March 17th it is! Can't wait . . .

About the cover--I do have a friend of a friend of a friend who can get me great deals on accessories about 50% off. With that being said, OEM Honda cover or the Retrax?

Also, with the OEM honda cover does the trunk open up all the way? I know the Retrax restricts it a bit. And is it just one panel that opens up?

I remember there was a thread detailing the pros and cons on each cover system but I can't seem to find it.
